Meet the creators

Charlie Wright - Author

Like many of you reading this, Charlie spent a lot of youth raving and misbehaving in clubs, warehouses and fields up and down the UK. Growing up in South East England and spending most of his twenties living in London, Charlie drifted around the mountain peaks of Europe for a few winters and has since relocated to the Scottish Highlands, where he now lives with his partner Ruth and their two boys.

Many of Charlie’s best friends are people he's met on dance floors at raves and festivals around the world.  A Graphic Designer by profession, Charlie and has been involved in the nightlife industry for many years, producing branding and artwork for clubs, promoters, records labels and various other well known brands (Ram Records, Hospital Records, Flexout Audio, Resident Advisor, XOYO, The Nest, Phonox, The Hydra & many more). He is also the creator of the food/DJ crossover pun instagram account djsyoucaneat.  

Whilst Charlie has been the pioneer of this project and the Drum and Bass fanatic, it could not be realised without Gary's incredible talent and ability to bring his notes, ramblings and scribbles to life in the form of quirky, colourful illustrations.

Gary Miller - Illustrator

Born and raised in Wick on the far north coast of Scotland, Gary Miller (also a relatively new member of the no-sleep fatherhood crew) is an exceptionally talented illustrator who now resides with his wife and little boy, Archie in Inverness, Scotland. Gary wasn't a fully fledged raver in his younger days but he's always appreciated good music and considers himself as more of a rock music fan and has an impressive knowledge of movies. Gary is also a self-confessed Star Wars geek with an unparalleled knowledge of of the franchise (Test him, I dare you!). When Gary isn't doodling, he enjoys playing computer games, watching movies, reading books and comics, cooking, going for long walks and spending quality time with his family.
